Ah well you see my hatred of the sequels us very personal. See there was a lot of physical abuse in my house growing up, even lead to one of my brothers in an ICU. But there was Star Wars to take me out of that house in a mental capacity, a nice escapism. And Than Disney put people in charge that have publicly stated that they hate people who look like me while they put Legends through a paper shredder. So yeah here I am about to turn thirty, I've spent my entire adulthood working as either a soldier or as a first responder, I live in a near constant state of pain and spend more time working in an ambulance than at my own home and Disney took my escapism and used it as a mouth piece for people that hate me for my gender and the color of my skin. So this hatred is personal now because they made it personal, so screw you guy.

After ten years, I became interested in the Star Wars universe again, after watching the Obi-Wan Kenobi series and I loved it. Then I made the terrible mistake of going to see what fans were saying about the series online. I confess that the purest discouragement and sadness took over me, I never imagined that this fandom was this kind of people. My conclusion is that the Star Wars fandom is made up of absolutely egomaniac guys, who need to be pleased and entertained all the time, who think everyone needs to pet their egos 24 hours a day. They can't handle a bad series? A film that doesn't meet their expectations? These guys think they are the center of the world. They can't think for a moment: - Hey, maybe this movie or series isn't for me. Maybe I'm not the target audience, maybe the problem is I have very high expectations... Or maybe I'm a thirty-year-old asshole who hasn't outgrown his childhood and I'm still attached to that kid who loved Star Wars... Or this content is really crap, but who cares ??? Dude, accept that in life things will not always please you, sometimes you will see things that will displease you, you will go through situations that will disappoint you. Sometimes you'll watch a bad movie, sometimes you'll watch a series and not like it, sometimes your favorite series will have a very bad season, sometimes your favorite franchise will release a crap movie or game, sometimes things you like, the people you like will disappoint you or won't act according to your expectations and that's life! In the end, it's not about appreciating a work of art, a film or a song, it's about appreciating yourself, it's about thinking that everyone is obliged to please you. A great example of this is the bullying that these toxic and selfish fans do to people who like the Sequels or The Acolyte... Sounds pretty ''how dare you like something I don't like???'' In the end, it's about wanting the world to be a mirror of yourself and being absolutely outraged when things aren't how you think they should be. This egolatry is reflected in the most absurd way when these people make personal attacks on screenwriters, directors and actors, even using racist and sexist insults against people who are just trying to do their works. So grow up, stop being spoiled children, consume what you like without disturbing anyone's life and leave alone those who have tastes different from yours...

I agree with your video when it made, but Season 4 was way too on the nose with it's politics. I found myself pulled out of each episode and rolling my eyes at moments that felt almost like they were breaking the fourth wall to explain why conservatives are the true bad guys.

fans my age actually watched the originals and the prequals at the same time and there is a reason why the prequals are liked more by the younger generation. nostalgia isn't involved because we watched them all at the same time.

The Prequels were my childhood and I loved them as a kid. I saw Revenge in theatres at 8 years old. Now I'm 27 and I hate the Prequels lmao. They're garbage and people who say they're better than Sequels or anything under new Lucasfilm are delusionally nostalgia-blinded.

I disagree especially since the introduction of the character Firecracker which feels like the writers are spoon feeding the audience that the character is a parallel to Alex Jones. The shit she says is so on the nose it feels like the inverse of the abhorrent Daily Wire movie, Ballers. When you align with all the political views the show conveys it’s probably a lot easier to watch without cringing eternally. I am pretty much right down the middle of the political spectrum and while not all of the political satire is bad, I even think the Trump and Homelander comparison is fine, however what is so obsessively on the nose is the comparison of their fan base to trump’s. It is the opposite of organic. The boys is a universe that’s obviously much different than ours. In a world where sups exist why the fuck would they try to make a cardinal copy of the rioters at January 6th it’s so overwhelmingly nauseating it makes the show much harder to enjoy even though I find it incredibly entertaining at times.

It’s cause the new movies are just kinda bad. Like the prequels were bad but atleast they had things like the clone wars, and the interesting story line of the fall of Anakin to carry them but now there kinda is nothing, but fans generally don’t hate everything. People praised season 1-2 of the Mandalorian. They loved rogue one, and said that Andor was genuinely a good story

As true today as it was two years ago, and I suspect will be true in the future. Thanks for the insight. I think people pay waaaay too much attention to pre-release press and obsess over every little detail that leaks and spin narratives and become obsessed with the drama before ever seeing the product. And while the products do have flaws, as do all human works, the backlash (for some people) has become as much a part of the fandom as the thing itself. And the older fans don't seem to realize that new fans are growing up and replacing them every day, and Star Wars really is supposed to be for the youth. That's why it pays to stay young at heart and enjoy it as it comes, rather than trying to impose your will on it. Wow, it really is a case of life imitating art.

It's been that way for me ever since Disney got ahold of it. This time, I agree with the fanbase 'cause all the trashy projects are just an aftershow. Nothing is even consistent and Disney continuously breaks the lore and canon. THEIR CANON😂. Even if all the trashy projects were good, it still wouldn't be good enough because I'm not gonna forget what it all leads up to. Imagine everything accomplished in your favorite story being irrelevant. The sequels did exactly that. It made the original trilogy irrelevant. Not only that, but it came at the cost of the entire expanded universe.

The most important thing in the boys is, it doesn't force its Pol agendas like all those new Woke Hollywood Movies with Race swaps and female leads who are overpowered and doesn't need to overcome anything to defeat the villain which is why it doesn't work..but in the boys Its just natural, it just doesn't force the Politics or shove it up our faces, like Pol agendas aren't the main personality of the characters in the boys, like some shows who only talks,shows about Pol stuff and it feels like they're shoving their ideologies up our asses, its like they need to have politigs in every scene which feels forced to us as audiences so many people doesn't like it....but in the boys it doesn't do that, thats ones of the main reason why it works in the boys
